Women’s Mental Health

You can care about everyone else and still need space for yourself.

Maybe you’re the person others rely on. You try to keep everything together, anticipate what others need, and avoid disappointing anyone. But behind the scenes, you may feel stretched thin, question yourself more than you’d like, or struggle to figure out what you actually need.

Why women struggle with people-pleasing and putting themselves last

For many women, these patterns don’t come out of nowhere. They can develop through family dynamics, relationships, cultural expectations, and messages we’ve received about what it means to be a good daughter, partner, friend, or caregiver.

Over time, putting yourself last can start to feel normal, even when it leaves you feeling disconnected from yourself.

Making space for you in therapy

Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to hold everything together or have all the answers. We can explore the expectations you’ve been carrying, the patterns that no longer serve you, and what it might look like to make choices that feel more aligned with who you are.

Our work may include:

  • Setting boundaries without overwhelming guilt

  • Trusting your own decisions

  • Working through anxiety, burnout, and people-pleasing

  • Navigating relationship challenges and life transitions

  • Giving yourself permission to have needs of your own

The goal isn’t to become someone who never struggles or always puts herself first. It’s to build a relationship with yourself where your needs, feelings, and experiences matter, too.

You don’t have to keep doing things the same way

You can care deeply about the people in your life without taking responsibility for everyone’s feelings. You can set boundaries and still be a good person. And you can make room for yourself without needing to justify it.
